Curious about working with us?
WE’RE ALWAYS LOOKING TO ADD TO OUR TEAM.
Candidates must be able to provide truly unbiased support to all families. (And when we say all, we mean ALL.) We only have a space on our team for doulas who are capable of supporting a diverse set of families without judgement. This includes all birthing environments and preferences.
We are open to labor doulas certified though any training organization accepted by Oregon’s medicaid program. At this link, put “doula” in the search bar to find the list of approved trainings. For postpartum doulas, the training options are more flexible. ProDoula or DONA trainings are both good options for postpartum trainings.
It is imperative that our doulas have flexibility in their schedule. Postpartum Doulas will need availability to provide ongoing support to clients. Labor Doulas will need to be able to work with an on-call (typically every other week) schedule as a part of a team.

[frequently asked questions about becoming a doula:]
Who can be a doula?
If you’re looking at this page, you’re probably already the “doula” to others in your life. You’re the calm presence. You’re the one people come to when life is hard. You’re the listener and the supporter and the one who meets them where they’re at without judgement. Your previous birth experiences don’t play a role in your ability to support others as a doula. There’s no prior education or experience necessary to enter into this career.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BECOME A DOULA?
a 2-4 day workshop
first aid/cpr certification
follow-up work
